Before working with Lotus and Luna, what did you do? 

“I used to work in a jewelry store for almost 20 years, and then created my own jewelry business. I worked in the jewelry shop for 5 years and mainly sold in the local street markets. I handcrafted jewelry with stones, beads, crystals etc.” 

What do you do for work with Lotus and Luna? 

“I make jewelry and accessories, and now face masks since the pandemic.”

What has happened in Thailand when Coronavirus started?

“In Thailand, we need tourism to run the economy. But when Coronavirus hit, everywhere locked down. The market was closed, everything shut down. We could not make any money.

We bought fabric masks from friends who have a sewing group. I shared them with the artisans and people in my community. When the virus came to the USA, I shipped some masks to the Lotus and Luna team and just hoped everyone stayed safe.

When I got the big order to make more masks for donations in the USA, I was very glad to hear that because so many people could have jobs.”

Do you have any hidden talents or hobbies?

“Handcrafting is my favorite hobby. I keep learning new styles and expanding my knowledge. I love to do it everyday and helps me feel relaxed.

I also like to listen to music and sing and play guitar, even though I do not have a good voice. LOL.”

What is your favorite product to make? 

“All kinds of stone jewelry, but more so bracelets because I wear more than other items.” 

Do you have any family traditions? 

“I have a big family and after I got married it got even bigger. We are all very close. Most of my staff in the office are family members. Almost everyone in the family helps me work too. We take care of each other.”

What do you do on your days off? 

“I hang out with family or friends sometime in the cafeteria out of town. Sometime I take the children to a park or playground.”

What are three phrases to describe yourself?

“Do what you love, love what you do.

Where there’s a will, there’s a way.

Don’t let your dream be a dream.” 

Who inspires you? 

“My dad, who passed away, is a very positive person. He always smiles and makes people happy. I also learn and gain experience from everyone around me.”
